Is the Apaché Oxy Safe for Use?

While the Apaché Oxy is engineered for use in shallow water settings, it's important to recognize that all water-related activities come with some level of risk. To mitigate these dangers, it's essential to strictly adhere to the Safety Guidelines for a more secure experience.

Is there a warranty available?

Absolutely! Our products come with a one-year warranty. For more details, consult the User Manual & Safety Guidelines.

What is the operational depth limit for the Apaché Oxy?

For the safety of the user, the Apaché Oxy is designed for use up to a depth of 3 meters only. While the device itself won't restrict you from going deeper, it is strictly against the rules to exceed this depth.

What are the consequences of exceeding the 3-meter depth limit?

The Apaché Oxy device itself will not be impacted; however, the 3-meter limit is implemented exclusively for user safety. Even at shallow depths such as 1 meter, there are potential risks, so it's crucial to follow all safety guidelines.

The Apaché Oxy adheres to the PPE (EU) 2016/425 standards and has been rigorously tested according to EN 250:2014 Respiratory equipment guidelines. These tests conform to European requirements for diving equipment under strenuous breathing conditions and at varying depths. During the tests, the device was subjected to a breathing rate of 62.5 liters per minute and was submerged under a pressure of 6 BAR absolute, equivalent to a 50-meter depth. Despite this, usage of any Apaché product deeper than 3 meters is strictly disallowed.

How can I determine the amount of air in the Apaché Oxy?

The Apaché Oxy features a built-in pressure gauge that enables you to conveniently monitor the air pressure levels.

What type of air is stored in the Apaché Oxy's cylinder?

The cylinder of the Apaché Oxy holds compressed ambient air, identical to the air we all breathe and akin to what is found in traditional diving tanks.

How much time is needed for refilling?

Using the Apaché Hand Pump:

Approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
It's important to refill the cylinder in segments of 5 minutes, followed by a cooling period of one to two minutes for the pump, due to the heat generated by the high pressure.

With the 12v mini compressor:

About 10 minutes.

Is it possible to use my own pump or compressor?

Our Apaché Oxy tanks are designed to work exclusively with Apaché-approved refilling methods. Both the Apaché Hand Pump and Apaché Compressor come equipped with integrated air and oil filters to guarantee that the air being filled is both pure and safe.

Is it possible to travel by air with the Apaché Oxy?

Certainly. If you plan to fly with the Apaché Oxy, it's mandatory to empty the cylinder and detach the regulator. Additionally, you'll need to declare the cylinder as both empty and unsealed. Prior to use, make sure to complete both Visual and Hydrostatic tests. After utilizing any Apaché products, it's advisable to wait 24 hours before taking a flight.

At what age is the Apaché Oxy suitable for use?

18 and older.

All users are required to thoroughly read and comprehend the Safety Guidelines and User Manual before use.
